Black-Eyed Susan Daisy

This is my first entry to this weekly meme. While whale watching at Point Vicente Beach in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, I saw these flowers. Its one variety of the Daisy family, and it is called Black Eyed Susan.

Its color is golden yellow with brown in the center.

They grow wild and needs full sun.

Lilies are beautiful. I wonder why they call these Black Eyed Susan. Do they resemble a black-eye?
