Sunday, June 5, was the last day of the Festival. We want to see the lift off of the balloons that was scheduled at 6 a.m. To be there on time for a 106 mile drive (approximately one and a half hours), we woke up at 3 a.m. and were on the road at 4:15. We were on time, with the benefit of a discounted “early bird” entrance fee.
By the time we got to Lake Skinner, most of the balloons were gone, somewhere about 3 miles away. They cannot take off from the ground on site, because of the wind factor, and I did not bother to ask more questions. On the plus side, we were able to go on a tethered ride for about 10 minutes at about 70 feet above ground. It was a wonderful feeling to see the view from up high.
I also want to share a video I put together for your pleasure here. Enjoy and have a very pleasant weekend everyone!

I enjoy looking at balloon lift-offs. Kaya lang our balloons here do not look as attractive as yours, tapos nasunog pa jud ang isa before nakalupad, hastang luoya hahaha… Where are the wines, Ate Eb? (ai naklaro noon ang mga hilig heheh)
