Alabama Hills Arch Trail

There are hundreds of natural arches in Alabama Hills, in Lone Pine, California.

Long Weekend Birthday Trip

Mobius Arch, I can identify this

Alabama-Hills-Arch 2

The Eye of Alabama

Alabama-Hills-Arch 1

We drove around the whole area, even to the fault line and not a soul was there, except us. A little bit scared, we still snap some photos but did not get off our vehicle. Finally, when we saw a familiar road, Whitney Portal Road, ah…we were on tract. Time to head home. With this post, I end my Eastern Sierras Adventure, spring adventure that is.
And we are coming back, in the Fall, to visit other areas that we have not explored. I hope I had entertained you with my scenic drive.

Congratulations on your 200th post. You have been very productive.

I too would love to visit this area, revisit those that I enjoyed and explore those that I missed. It’s such a wonderful area. You are right, there can be no soul around but you for miles when you veer off Highway 395, but that is such a feeling like you’re not in California at all.

Hello dear friend. I’m sorry to have been such a bad blog friend lately but now I decided to pay some of you a visit. You have such gorgeous photos here (also in other posts as this). Lovely scenery in your part of the world, I must say. The sunset photo lower down is just a dream. Your drawing is so great. You do have talent in that department. I love it. I shall now depart to our summer cottage but will be popping back to town once in a while. Enjoy your summer and see you!

You got some great shots. We didn’t take that road when we were there this spring. Drirt roads are hard on the camper, they shake all the fittings apart. I see we missed some great views.
Congratulations on 200. I look forward to seeing more from you.
If your fall trip to the Eastern Sierra is schedualed for Labor Day you will be a little early for color. Early October is usually the best but there are no gaurantees.
