This is the Metro subway map consisting of the following lines: RED, BLUE, GREEN AND GOLD. My daily commute is on the Red Line.

Metro Train Map

This is where I get off, at 7th Street and Metro Center.  This is also the station where you go through a tunnel and connect to the Blue Line going to Long Beach.

7th & Metro

Getting in and out of the train station is always in a hurry, either to get to work on time or be home early. So everything around me is always ignored. Little did I know that there is a hidden gem, works of art, in the subway station.

7th Metro Tiled Art

This only a part of the long and narrow mural on the East Tunnel. This ceramic tile looks like an unfolding film strip.

7th Metro Tiled Art B

The artist is Joyce Kozloff, who was commissioned in 1993, used hundreds of images from films.  Some details are from the Western movies, famous naval scenes, romantic and historic movies.

I hope you have enjoyed my part of my world, next stop would be Pershing Square.  All Aboard!!

..and where is this place ? Is this the light rail transport which travels within the city ? But the train looks so ancient. I wonder what are their speed. I prefer train over bus.

@Kbguy: This is in the Los Angeles, California area. The speed I think is maximum of 50mph and if the conductor drives more than that, there is a main control that would bring back its speed to normal.
