The sun may not be up, the sky is so gloomy, but nothing deterred the crowd to stay away from the beach. For us, sea seekers, nothing hampered our drive to Crystal Cove State Beach on the Newport Coast.
Children playing, the sweet scent of the salty sea breeze, or just dipping your feet in the sand
The sea weeds drifted along the shore line, by the strong, high waves.
Or just watch the splashing of the waters in the tide pool
At the end of the day, simple pleasures, simple things, I say, life is beautiful.

Cloudy days pick up the mist from the salt spray. I love the picture of the tide pool and the last photo is very creative. Wonderful captures, Ebie.

I love our CA beaches when they have this look! The mist and the marine layer that hasn’t quite (or may not) burned off. It’s August so the kelp beds are huge. Wonderful photos!
