Our Gracious Hosts
Hydrangea was originally discovered in Japan. Its name comes from the Greek “hydor,” meaning water, and “angos,” meaning jar or vessel, and translated literally “water barrel,” . This flower needs plenty of water. It is a genus of 70-75 flowers grown as shrubs or small trees.
These flowers are extremely vigorous, long-lived shrubs that blooms throughout summer and into fall.
The flowers are lacy and star shaped and are packed closely together in a pompom and globe shaped filled with a delicate lace of small petal.
The hydrangea’s color ranges from white to blue to pink and purple, depending on the acidity level of the soil.
Hydrangea symbolizes both gratefulness and pride, It represents heartfelt appreciation.
This flower is also the 4th wedding anniversary flower.

Your Hydrangea is beautiful. I have a hedge in my front garden. They tell me if you put tin cans under the hedge, the flowers will turn very red,
Thanks for sharing the Lanzone news. We call them langsat here. I can buy 3 kilo for $10, and at one sitting almost finish them.

I love al the colors you’ve shown here, Ebie. The Hydrangea is one of my favorite blooms, but it does require lots of irrigation. I see it growing in Denver – not in the mountains, though, where the season is too short and harsh.

Wow, the color is amazing! If I am not mistaken, those are called Mil Flores meaning thousand flowers, we have it in the garden but not blooming yet.
BTW there was a little confusion. I deleted my post earlier because I thought I entered my link in the previous TF post. But I had it posted again.
