Weekend Reflections is a Friday meme hosted by James of Newtown Area Photo. Please join us.
This post is dedicated to all teachers and educators, retired or not.
I was here at the famous MacArthur Park, on Tuesday afternoon, to catch the train after we evacuated our station for a suspicious package. This is a waiting shed at the bus stop.
This is a mural of Jaime Escalente, a no-nonsense math teacher in a tough East LA high School, and Edward James Olmos, the actor who portrayed his role in the movie STAND AND DELIVER.
Do you think there is quite a resemblance?
Have a great weekend everyone!

Great reflection and a wonderful dedication. I remember that movie it came out just a few years after I was finished with high school. I could have used a teacher like Mr. Escalente.

Lovely and no group deserves a devotion more than those who have spent their lives trying to educate.

Isn’t it neat the way reflections seem to find you when you think about them. I didn’t see the movie, but I like the shot.
