Friendship in Blogging
This is a weekly meme co-hosted by me and Arlene.
I just started blogging in January, this year, and through the eleven months that I have been blogging, I have “met” or come to know such wonderful people. Whenever they travel out of their country, they send me postcards.
This postcard arrived yesterday from Iceland. Grace Olsson, has a beautiful blog and excellent photography. She is from Sweden and before her flight to Iceland a few weeks ago, she told me she was scared of the 5 hour flight. I told her just pray and be brave, cause I even travel transatlantic for 16 hours. She is in Brasil now to be with her Dad for surgery.
This second post card came all the way from Australia. Bonnie Bonsai writes in Australia: Quadrat in Focus. Please check out her blog.
When Bonnie Bonsai traveled to New Zealand on a holiday with her family, she sent me this postcard too.
These are little things that you value forever.

I share the same sentiments about friendship in blogging, Ebie. I even met Tes (The Craftista) here in Singapore few months back. I also received cards and consider it my priceless treasures, too.
I am elated by your invitation. I really do hope to meet you someday. For now, let’s continue to share the simple joys of blogging and let the friendship go far and beyond the blogosphere.
Have a Blessed Sunday!

I agree with you Ebie, with the short time that I have been blogging I met a lot of people, from different places and they including you have been a part of my everyday life. I also have lots of friends in real the world but sometimes bloggy friends are more sensible than the real ones. Hehehe.
Anyway I also collect postcards, souvenirs from friends across the miles and they are kept in safe place. May I copy your mailing address for Christmas is fast approaching and I wanted to send you something for Christmas?

It’s nice to get postcards from friends especially during the cyber age. They’re sweet reminders of the past. I saw the outline of the New Zealand map. It does look like a long boot

I totally agree…cross state, cross country, international…it’s priceless. And, if you ever have the opportunity to meet face to face, as I did with my Japanese and Korean friends, you’ll never forget how special it is! Those are great post-cards!

blogging tranverse boundaries…it knows no distance, no race, no gender. i met wonderful people in blogosphere who i call and consider dear friends. the relationship deepens as there is a space for it to grow and be nurtured.

How nice, to receive postcards from blogfriends! To receive postcards and letters are much more personal than an e-mail! I haven’t received letters from friends in years, only e-mail. But postcards keep coming!

that was a beautiful waterfall in the postcard Ebie. Yes, like you, one of the reasons I enjoy blogging is finding great minds, talents and friends through it. I learn a lot from each one. The extra money I earn from blogging is something I consider as just an icing on the cake, the cake are the friends and wisdom I learned from those words and pictures shared in their blogs.

Nice post cards here…
Back in the days before the advent of email and the Internet, this is how we would be receiving news and updates from friends especially those in travel…
And this post seems to remind me that it is almost a decade ago since the last time I received some postcards from friends
