Scientific classification
Kingdom: Plantae
Family: Asteraceae
Tribe: Calenduleae
Genus: Osteospermum
The common name of these flowers is African Daisy or South African Daisy, Cape Daisy and Blue-eyed Daisy. The scientific name is Osteospermum. It is derived from the Greek word osteon, which means bone and Latin spermum which means seed. Source here.
I added the berries in this mosaic because they were just growing next to the daisies at the Huntington Gardens.

I consider daisies as my favorite flowers because they’re pretty and simple.Plus they don’t have strong scents to trigger my allergic rhinitis.=) I love their colors too. Great mosaic! Wish I could finally learn how to do something like it.
