This is the first pond you see once you pass the entrance gate at Descanso Gardens. I arrived so early, the sky was a little bit cloudy. What I could say about this photo is WYSIWYG, what you see is what you get! Pretty cool, ha!

As the morning progresses, the light slowly comes out, I look around for more water features. The red and blooming camillas add a little color to this pond. The trees show a little sign of aging.

Another lily pond minus the lilies.

These pads fall short of waterlilies. Its not the blooming season yet. What a surprise to see a floating camillia!

The water is a little murky

The kois are playful

Quack, quack, I am hungry!

The camillias are beautiful this time of the year

Daffodils are showing signs of Spring (come sooner!)

I was surprised to see one California poppy!

I accomplished a lot in two hours!

She is one of the faeries that gave a tour of the Enchanted Forest at the Descanso Gardens last Saturday. Guiding the young children and adults through the camillia collection telling flower facts and stories along the way.

See her facial expression as she amuses the young kids.
