Birthday Wishes for a Blogger Friend

She swings back and forth from the city to the mountains, where she skis, hikes.

She rides her bike, but does not scrape her knee

She has a fascination of taking photos of stairs

She’s celebrating her birthday today

A cupcake for her to savor virtually (Photo by Zee)

A bouquet of mixed blooms for her birthday
for being a mother
and a grandmother!

Barb writes and takes beautiful photos

Sunset from a Distance

Located high on top of Cleopatra Hill (5,200 feet) is the historic copper mining town of Jerome, Arizona. It is situated in the heart of northern Arizona only 90 miles from Phoenix, 60 miles from Flagstaff, 20 miles from Sedona, 30 miles from Prescott. Our hiking team leader picked the Haunted Hamburger, the venue for our dinner. Although the traffic from Sedona was smooth, we left late that we almost miss sunset.

Check out my header (constantly changing) of Jerome’s panoramic canyon view.

Although from a distance, I saw the moon beaming

Hats and Flowers

Acca sellowiana is a species of flowering plant in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae, is native to the highlands of southern Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, and northern Argentina.

Kingdom: Plantae
(unranked): Angiosperms
(unranked): Eudicots
(unranked): Rosids
Order: Myrtales
Family: Myrtaceae
Genus: Acca
Species: A. sellowiana
Binomial name
Acca sellowiana

I found this exotic plant at the Homestead Acre in Chatsworth, CA, in the San Fernando Valley, a few miles from where I live. This flowering tree bears fruit, and it is called pineapple guava. I have tasted this fruit a long time ago, and I have not seen them again ever since. A Jewish couple grew them in their backyard, and they have already sold their house.

A festival was held at the Homestead Acre this Sunday and there was a group of ladies wearing hats,  and were serving tea and breakfast for charity.

(nothing compared to the hats at the Royal Wedding)

but they were so adorable

I saw some quilts and are sold also for the benefit of some CANCER cause.
