Photography is the art of capturing light, while infrared photography is the art of capturing invisible light. Infrared effects can be achieved by converting your camera or the use of lens filters. Photography is also an expensive hobby, so I decided to play with photoshop to get this effect.

Last week for my Skywatch post, I showed you some photos that were shot vertically and then merged horizontally for a panoramic view. I was not happy with one of the photos, so I tried again. I went back to the Japanese Garden Sunday morning and these are the photos I took. The photo below is a four-frame photomerge, played with lighting effects.

Photo manipulation is almost as much fun as taking the photo in the first place. Took me a long time to get my panos lined up right, and then there’s the light issue. Nice job.

Hi Ebie, both are super beautiful. The first photo remind me of Philippines, playing along the creek through the river. Now I am homesick ^_^
