When was the last time I checked my blog? Its been a while, been really busy at work and weekends too! Should I start in chronological order? Ok, when was my last outing? Oh, it was the wildflowers, but who knows, we might see late blooms in higher elevation.
The Carlsbad ranunculus flower fields has closed for the season. But I was able to take a friend and my college classmate ( Class 76) and her “wards of the State” for a day trip. They were so happy just to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful flowers. It was their first, and were so awed at the abundance of the blooms!
Of course, I was practicing with my macro lens, and caught the bee in perfect timing!
We visited Balboa Island, tried our luck in fishing but was out of luck. We did have fun and lots of window shopping too!
I had been doing a little workout by joining a group for a run/walk around the John Burroughs High school track and field. I do 6 laps. My feet felt comfortable because the walking surface is soft and not hard.
While the days are longer, we take advantage of it, and see the sunset, too.
A good stretching and warm up is vital
Sometimes, we get lucky to see a rainbow!
The end result? I was able to finish the 2013 Revlon 5K Breast Cancer Walk held the day before Mother’s Day at the USC Coliseum.
This is my 10th year!
This is all for now, next adventures would be Big Bear and Sequoia camping, day trip to Avalon, and lots more. I am getting ready for my trip today to Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra.
