Howdy? Where did time go? Its been a while since I left off the hunt for spring wildflowers. Life and work and family and weekend photo outings had preoccupied me. Some updates.
We went camping in Big Bear, the second week of May. Driving was a little incline, then we stopped at some view point.
at 6700 feet elevation, the vista was spectacular!
The ski area was empty – off season and no snow. We did a short hike and discovered a few wildflowers.
This merry month of May, I am a year older. Spent my birthday on Board Catalina Express to the Island of Avalon, very popularly known as Catalina Island. It was a day trip, and this is the highlights rolled into one collage;
Memorial Weekend was an opportune time to back again to nature. We camped at Lodgepole in the Sequoia National Park. Unfortunately I was sick so I left early and rested at home
LOL! – Short extremities!
Wedding bells, June bride… my first wedding photography – childhood sweethearts who lost touch with each other after college, and 50 years later, both are widowed, and found each other. The bride is a cousin. Both are in their seventies.
Summertime is also about free concerts in the Park. I attended quite a few:
The Beach Boys Tribute Band
Don’t Stop Believin’ (DSB) Journey Tribute Band
End of June, I attended the Tejon Ranch Conservancy on a limited number of people to an auto tour of the whole property, visiting 4 eco-regions in one day. These are the highlights.
The Pronghorn was a surprise
I am not done with my adventures in June, July and August. We went to the Eastern Sierras, Redwood National Park. More foliage trips in the next two months. Stay tuned! I hope I did not miss anything.
