Ballona Fresh Water Marsh

There is so much to learn about the preservation of this area.   One of my hiking group will be doing this  hike on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.   Our  hike leader is going to talk about the controversy over the State’s plans to “restore” the wetlands with bulldozers.  Last Saturday, four of us girls accomplished about three miles more or less.

Since this is located near the Los Angeles International Airport, we will have a chance to see the city lights.

You like my new watermark?  I created a reflection too!

Ballona Creek Wetlands

It was almost a touchdown!

We arrived late for our morning hike, and by the time we started at 9:30 a.m., the birds had their morning “breakfast” and they were no where to be found.  I could hear them “singing” and “chirping”.   I saw a few ducks, but they were to far.

The trails were not rough and it was an easy hike.
