A park in Beverly Hills! At Franklin Canyon Park you see chaparral, grasslands and oak woodlands. It has a three-acre lake, a duck pond, picnic grounds, and over five miles of hiking trails.
Franklin Canyon Park is on Coldwater Canyon, and the home to the opening of the Andy Griffith Show. It is also the venue of many commercials and photo shoots, and some TV and big screen movies.
A total of 40 of us hikers and photo enthusiasts, started early at around 8:30 in the morning. Los Angeles is famous for its June gloom weather, but later on the sun showed up under blue skies.
