Ballona Fresh Water Marsh

There is so much to learn about the preservation of this area.   One of my hiking group will be doing this  hike on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.   Our  hike leader is going to talk about the controversy over the State’s plans to “restore” the wetlands with bulldozers.  Last Saturday, four of us girls accomplished about three miles more or less.

Since this is located near the Los Angeles International Airport, we will have a chance to see the city lights.

You like my new watermark?  I created a reflection too!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Of Pumpkins and Costumes

Quite a few changes in the weather and colors. You see farms and botanical gardens changing their themes!

Kids and grown ups dressing up.  Such pretty shoes!

And fancy skirt glitters!

Black-eyed susan flowers fading along the banks of the lake. Summer is almost gone.

The moss under water is still as green as the trees

In a few days, Autumn will be here.

Time to reflect.

Window Dressing

Window dressing is a deceptive practice of using accounting tricks to make a company’s financial statements appear better than what they actually are.

Window dressing also means the display of merchandise in a retail store window, which is what I am actually showing you today.

Take your pick.  I think the red top would look nice on you!

Reflection: Cityscapes

Inspired by my fellow bloggers comments on my post below, Kay who blogs here and Sallie, who writes here, this post is dedicated to them.  I am very fortunate to  have a wide window office facing South where you can see the Staples Center, the LA Live,  the gigantic Marriott Hotel , the TCW Bldg in downtown Los Angeles, among others.

You can see the light in the morning and afternoon, depending on the season of the year.  These however, are photos taken late Fall of 2010, and I have not posted them yet.

Have a safe and great weekend everyone. In remembrance of the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, I am sharing a photo that I took last year in memory of the victims of the tragic event.
