Winter is the time to prune many plants in the garden. Climbing roses, tree roses, are good examples that need pruning to produce healthier plants, stronger growth and flowering, elimination of diseased or damaged canes, and improved overall appearance. With the ample rainfall we get here the past months, we will expect a lot of blooms in spring.

The 82nd Academy Awards ceremony will honor the best films of 2009 on March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Kodak Theatre is just a few miles from where we live. The train stop in Hollywood and Highland will be closed on Sunday and will reopen on Monday.
There is rain in the forecast, and I hope it does not come.
There are also a lot of organizations doing an Oscar viewing party, and they are expensive. I will settle on my small screen, comfortable at home!
